Purchasing insurance is often a lengthy, complicated process that individuals do not care to repeat frequently. It requires an understanding of legal jargon and reading of small print. Instead of helpful choices, our consumers are provided with many opportunities to make the wrong decision. Our product aimed to make the quoting and purchase process simple while building a level of trust within our consumer.
Our strategy was centered around the design and development of a mobile-first UI centric experience that easily and quickly delivered insurance quotes to end users. The product focused on providing a minimalistic experience combined with third party technology to help speed the process, ultimately engaging with a younger, more tech savvy audience.
By creating an experience that better matches our consumers level of knowledge, we equipped them with the understanding they need to trust and value the product they purchased — converting them into repeat customers. Added value was provided through additional add-on features, content marketing and re-engagement strategies that further builds the trustworthiness of the brand.
Bolt’s original intake and quoting process was lengthy, confusing and took users upwards of one hour to complete! Through user research we discovered that this process was one of the main obstacles in self-issuance. Our UX team painstakingly reworked the user journey to effectivley shorten the number of fields, eliminate confusing language and get users to their purchase page faster.
With Majestyk's help, Bolt launched a sleek and intuitive platform that enabled users to get accurate quotes within the minute, representing a decrease in time spent upwards of ninety percent. Bolt has been able to leverage their enhanced application tremendously, and in 2019 broke records by becoming the first Insurance SaaS Platform to exceed $2 billion in annual premiums sold.
